Volunteer!

Blind Fitness relies on dedicated volunteers to ensure our blind and vision impaired athletes get the support they need to be active and access the great outdoors! To become an official Blind Fitness volunteer, please complete the following registration form:

What Blind Fitness Volunteers Do
  • Help people with vision loss participate in an athletic activity (ie. run, walk, bike ride, boogie board, paddle board, surf) safely in a fun, supportive environment.
  • Participate in monthly group workouts.
  • Provide motivation and guidance.
  • Learn about adaptive equipment and assist with logistics.
  • Provide transportation to blind athletes.
  • Shout “Go Blind Fitness!” to give our community a boost on race courses.
Why Volunteer with Blind Fitness
Volunteers work alongside Blind Fitness athletes and support them while they accomplish their fitness goals. While their general responsibility is to accompany athletes during the course of a workout or race, on any given day a Blind Fitness volunteer will function as an athlete’s guide and motivator. Ask any Blind Fitness volunteer why they do it, and you’ll hear the same answer: they get back as much as they give, and more!
