Date: Friday, June 12 Time: 9:30 - 11:00 am Location: Carpinteria Salt Marsh Nature Park 5775 Carpinteria Ave, Carpinteria, CA 93013 Event Description: Blind Fitness invites you to join us for a Nature Walk at Carpinteria Salt Marsh Nature Park along its newly restored trail. This mindful experience encourages us to slow down and tune into the natural world - listening to the sounds of the marsh, the birds, and the gentle rhythm of the landscape, including a walk through the mini labyrinth. We’ll conclude our time together at the amphitheater with a gentle, grounding practice on the mat. This is an easy, accessible walk along the saltwater marsh, home to a rich variety of native plants and birdlife. Accessibility: The trail is mostly flat and well-maintained, with some natural surfaces. Blind and low vision participants are supported by trained volunteer guides, with an emphasis on clear communication and a comfortable, inclusive pace. Sighted participants are welcome and may be invited to experience portions of the walk using blindfolds to deepen awareness. Transportation Note: Due to the location of this event, transportation support is limited. We kindly encourage all participants to arrange their own ride, either with a friend or a trusted/recognized volunteer whenever possible. If you need assistance coordinating a connection, please let us know and we will do our best to help. What to Bring:
