Together, in partnership with Anacapa School, Blind Fitness participants will ride surrey bikes alongside middle school students and teachers for a fun, inclusive community experience. This event offers an opportunity to connect, move together, and help build awareness of the blind and low vision community. Come pedal with us Wednesday, May 25, from 2:00–3:15 PM at Wheel Fun Rentals in the Funk Zone! Surrey bikes will be rented from Wheel Fun Rentals. A surrey bike is a four-wheeled quadricycle with seating for two, four, or six riders under a covered canopy. With shared pedaling and dual steering wheels, surrey bikes are especially well-suited for individuals who are blind or have low vision - making cycling accessible, social, and engaging. This event is a chance to enjoy the outdoors, engage in physical activity, connect across communities, and highlight the abilities and leadership of people with vision loss through shared experience. We do not need community volunteers for this event. To help us secure the proper number of Surrey bikes and student support, Blind and low vision participants, please RSVP by April 27.
