The Blind Fitness Beach Walk & Run is a wonderful opportunity to get outdoors, move your body, connect with others, and help raise awareness for the blind and low vision community. Join us Saturday, December 13, 2025 from 9:30am - 11:30am. Date: Saturday, December 13, 2025 (Upcoming Dates: October 11 for White Cane Awareness Day!) Time: 9:30am-11:30am *Mandatory new volunteer orientation at 9am* Who: All people who are blind or have low vision, along with their family, friends, and community members. Location: 1118 E. Blind Fitness celebrates National White Cane Awareness Day every year in October. Join us in celebrating the power and purpose of the white cane Saturday, October 11th from 9:30 - 12:00 pm For people who are blind or have low vision, the white cane is more than just a tool - it’s a symbol of freedom, independence, and safety. It makes it possible to travel confidently through daily life, whether at work, school, outdoors, or around the community. White Cane Awareness Day shines a spotlight on the vital role of the white cane in empowering individuals to live fully while educating the public about its true significance. This year we are thrilled to partner with The Braille Institute! Who: All people who are blind or have low vision, along with their family, friends, and community members.
